How do you motivate your team?

I believe motivation comes from a combination of purpose, ownership, and growth. My approach is to create an environment where team members feel valued, challenged, and connected to the bigger picture.

First, I make sure everyone understands the “why” behind their work—how their contributions impact customers and business outcomes. When people see the value of what they’re building, they naturally feel more motivated.

Second, I focus on ownership and autonomy. I trust my team to make decisions within clear boundaries and encourage them to take responsibility for their work. This builds confidence and accountability.

I also invest in individual growth by understanding each team member’s career goals and providing opportunities aligned with their interests—whether it’s taking on challenging projects, learning new technologies, or stepping into leadership roles.

Recognition is another key aspect. I make it a point to appreciate good work, both privately and publicly, which boosts morale and reinforces positive behavior.

Lastly, I maintain an open and supportive environment where team members feel comfortable sharing ideas and concerns.

Overall, my goal is to build a culture where people are not just working on tasks, but are genuinely engaged and motivated to do their best work.
